The pristine coastline of northern Maine is the wintering area to 80% of the Atlantic flyways Common Eiders and large numbers of Scoters, Old Squaw and several other species of diving waterfowl. This area is one of the highest rated sea duck hunting destinations along the Atlantic coast.
Although the season runs from early October through January, hunters will fine the highest concentration of ducks during the months of November and December. The shooting is fast and exciting, as flights approach low over the waves heading for a large inviting spread of decoys. A 14-foot tide change creates strong currents and quickly alters the landscape. This drastic change keeps the birds moving. Even with liberal bag limits and selective harvesting of drakes, hunters can often limit out quickly.
After an exciting day's shoot, enjoy the comfort and hospitality of one of the areas historic resting places and feast on a famous Maine lobster. All hunts include 20’ Lund Alaskan boats, decoys, full services of 2 guides, seasoned retrievers, shore lunch and all necessary safety equipment.
