Come
hunt caribou with us in Manitoba’s wild barren land on the Boreal
forest’s edge. This region is home to the Central Barren
Ground Caribou, which numbers nearly a half million animals. These
caribou have high, sweeping multi-tined antlers and make exceptional
trophies. This is truly a caribou hunter’s paradise.
During the
annual migration, this land is alive with Caribou and at times the tundra
appears to be rolling. All caribou hunts are conducted from tundra
lodges located in the heart of the migration routes. The lodges
are fully-equipped with all the comforts of home.
Hunter success
consistently runs 100% annually with 80% making the Manitoba record
book and nearly one half of those animals qualify for Boone and Crockett.
A second caribou is also included in the price of this Manitoba caribou
hunt, so your trophy chances are excellent. These caribou
hunts are 6-days guided 3x1 by experienced professional guides who will
assist you in selecting a good bull. This is during the peak of
migration from September 10th through September 30th. Hunts are
from boats and on foot right from the lodge.
The peak
Canada caribou migration is also peak migration time for millions of
snow geese. These camps are located at the very beginning of the
migration routes so several days of snow goose hunting can be combined
with the caribou hunt. In addition, don’t forget that after
you take your trophy bull(s) the lakes are full of Lake Trout, Arctic
Grayling or you can jump shoot some Ptarmigan near the lodge.

Manitoba via Winnipeg. Train service to Churchill from Thompson

by the outfitter.
