Your host for this Maine black bear hunt has guided clients to 3 of the 5 state record bears with archery and muzzleloaders with overall success rates over 80 percent. Most bait sites are within 15 to 20 yard shot distance, ideal for archery and handgun hunters. This great success can be attributed to the scientific approach given to each individual hunting area and limiting the number of harvests per bait sites to only one animal. All bait sites are developed with consideration of travel routes, natural food sources, prevailing winds and available cover. A particular portion of the total hunting area is dedicated to each week of the season which insures that you will enjoy optimum success during your hunt.
