Southeast Alaska produces some of the largest black bears in the World and there are plenty to go around. A day of hunting along this coastline normally produces many bear sightings. Your opportunity to select that special trophy will come. All you and your guide have to do is simply enjoy the breathtaking scenery and keep looking at bears. All black bear hunts are conducted spot and stalk from skiffs that enable your guide to look in all the out-of-the-way places for that one special bear. There is no reason to take a small bear on this hunt as the majority of the bears taken on this hunt average 6 to 7 feet squared. Most bears are jet black with very little color phase and virtually no rubbing of hides. After an exciting day glassing for bear there is nothing better than returning to the yacht where you can try your hand at fishing, have your favorite beverage while you relax and enjoy the scenery and marine life that is so abundant in this region. The fabulous Alaskan cuisine prepared by the full-time chef on the yacht is something you won’t soon forget. This exclusive 6-day hunt is conducted in the spring from early-May through mid-June and in September in the fall. Being a boat-based bear hunt, openings are very limited. 2012 2x1 Spring Black Bear For more information or to reserve an Alaskan black bear hunt, contact us via e-mail or call us 1-800-487-0045. |
