The first thing that comes to the mind of any sportsman when they hear the word Kodiak Island is huge brown bears.  Thanks to intensive management practices, the legendary Kodiak brown bear still thrives in this unspoiled pristine wilderness of the southern coast of Alaska and continues to provide trophy hunters with the thrill of a lifetime.

This Kodiak brown bear hunt is conducted in the Ugak Bay region of the island with a master guide who has countless years of experience locating huge bears for his clients that historically average 9½ feet with 26+ inch skull measurements.

While on the island, you will find comfort after a long day’s hunt in a beautiful lodge overlooking the bay.  If conditions warrant, it may be necessary to use a remote spike camp while looking for a trophy brown bear.

Brown bear permits for this area are issued by drawing and draw success is very high.  Alaskan brown bear hunts should be booked well in advance.  This 10-day brown bear hunt is a classic Alaskan adventure.
